Series Of Visits To IUG

This Week the Islamic University has received delegations from two local institutions. The visit of The World Bank & Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development to IUG was particularly to support the pioneering projects of Business & Technology Incubation.

The first visit consisted of a delegation from the World Bank who was astonished at the gorgeous outcomes of the pioneering projects that vividly approved the phenomenal energy of youths. The delegation then had the chance to know other start-up projects, consider their challenges so that can enable them to create proper future plans. As Eng. Qandeel clarified the visit comes within the context of highlighting BTI accomplishments while recounting the successful experiences in the pioneering ideas-incubation field.  The delegation consisted of Ms. Marina Weiss, Chair of the World Bank in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has been hosted by Prof. Nasr Eldin Muzaini, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and prof. Saeed Al-Gharah, Dean of CSCE, Eng. Basil Qandeel, BTI manager, and a number of pioneer entrepreneurs.

In a related matter, Consultant of Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development Dr. Sameer Jarad visited BTI accompanied by a staff from Taawon foundation chaired by Eng. Fadi Al-Hindi.  The delegation has been hosted by Prof. Naser Prof. Nasr Eldin Muzaini, Chair of the Board of Trustees, the president Prof. Nasser Farahat, Prof. Majid Al-Farra, Vice president for Administrative Affairs, and Prof. Said Ghorra, Dean of CSCED, Prof. Ahmed Mohaisen, Dean of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Waseem Al-Habeel, Deputy Dean of CSCED, and Eng. Basil Qandeel, BTI manager.

Prof. Ghorra reported that the stated aim of the visit was to recognize and value the success stories incubated by a series of Mobaderoon projects, which supported through the Fund in partnership with Taawon Foundation.
